Hey, hey...have you ever experience something like this?
You posted up a picture / story in your deviantArt gallery.
Someone ridiculed it in her personal blog / Twitter / whereeverelseontheinternet.
No one came to your dA page and bash you (luckily) but someone was kind enough to give you a link.
You took a look at it and you read all the nasty comments that supported the ridiculing of your work.
Then you started to stalk more and found out that the offender had a deviantArt account.
You visited the account went straight to the stats without bothering to look at the gallery section.
You clicked and found out the highest fave number is less than 50, the comments received less than 50 as well.
You came back to your dA account and checked your own stats.
Your highest fave is 700+++ and the comments you received shoot up to the thousands.
Suddenly.
You feel great.
You feel awesome.
You feel SUPERIOR.
All your worries about people hating your work just vanished into thin air.
And you resumed your life as normal.
This is very random and had nothing to do with real life. It was just a thought that came to mind when I was looking through fanarts of Homestuck and trying to learn what that shit was exactly.

Well, someone ridiculing you isn't, but the fact you pretty much OWNED them without even trying is awesome!! Seriously, I don't understand what gives someone the right to bash and hate on such GREAT artwork... unless they have a problem with yaoi or something but that is VERY petty to hate someone's work strictly for its content rather than appreciate the EFFORT gone into it to begin with.
All the same though, good for you! You deserve that superior feeling.

When I was starting out, I made a funny little comic making fun about 'Who owns the Arctic'. And this person started ranting that it belongs to no one and that it belongs to the Polar Bears. I joked in return (I don't like getting into arguments) saying the the Polar Bears belong to Canada, and of course this cause this person to rant again. My best friend saw this (She has a DA account too) and chewed my hater a new one. ^^
I like using humour as the focus of most of my work and I always worry that there would be people who won't like my sense of humour. But that hasn't happened yet. ^^
Don't let those kind of people let you down. You got more friends and fans of your work than them. You don't need to cater to these haters.

Not really a hater but the way she acted sounds too much like one.
Humour is the best when it comes to drawing certain things. Obviously some RoChu, GerIta and Prussia fans won't be happy with my dark comedy with RusGer.

I actually never thought RusGer to be a pairing, but I'm loving it now after looking at your art. I have to say, it's pretty sexy. :3 (Strangely the only pairings that I don't like are usally the over used ones. I like varity)
I LOVE dark humour. It's probably one of the most difficult types of humour to work with. (And you do it so well) I can't say I did anything with dark humour yet. I should try. Probably the most weirdest one I did was a little comic stating that since Ukraine's 'large tracks of land' goes 'Boing boing', then Male Ukraine's... you know... should go 'Dong Dong'. XD To add to that I had Male Vietnam going 'What's this I keep hearing about Money?' (Dong is the name of Vietnam's currency) Now I'm tempted to draw Vietnam chasing after a freaked out Ukraine who is covering the front of his pants, shouting 'Show me the money!'. XD *And thus a crack pairing is born (Cue the Angel singing)*
But seriously, your art style is adorable. XD I know it might be strange to say that but it's true. LOL I always thought that big strong guys to be pretty cute. :3 (One time this German man walked into the store that I worked at. He seriously looked like Ludwig. OMG, when he spoke, I nearly melted) Plus I always thought that Russia was really cute. *I love his nose*

Heh. It is fun. I'm glad no one did that on mine...maybe the way I condemn some of their favourite characters just bitchslapped them hard, REAL HARD; that they just don't bitch around with me anymore.
Sometimes I see a RusGer fanfic and when there's another person, who tend to be (unsurprisingly) Prussia in the story, people cheer on him with Ludwig and sneered on Ivan as the bad person who gets in between their must-fap-to-incest.
Gott, I hate these sort of reviewers. And damn them to hell if they ever come knocking on my door.

That reminds of a...fanfic and the primary characters where Canada and America. Despite the author's declaration that "THERE WILL BE NO PRUCAN.", people kept whining for it.
Six chapters later, they're still whining about it.
What the hell...if you want PruCan so much...go write your own damn story and stop pestering the author(s).
